A “Lover's Eyes Brooch”, a rare type of jewelry from the Victorian era. Lover’s eye jewelry was popular in the late 1700s and early 1800s when stylish aristocrats would often wear a miniature portraits depicting their spouse or lover’s eye. On this brooch- a miniature hand-painted eye is displayed on the front and intricately braided hair is enclosed in glass on the back.
